1. Introduction
Welcome to CareerLux.pro (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a digital marketplace connecting vendors and customers in the career development space. Through our platform, registered sellers can offer digital products such as resume templates, cover letters, coaching guides, career planning kits, and other career-related resources (“Products”).
By accessing or using our website (the “Platform”), you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
2. Definitions
- User: Any individual or entity accessing or using the Platform, including Vendors and Customers.
- Vendor: A registered seller who lists and sells Products on the Platform.
- Customer: A user who purchases Products through the Platform.
- Digital Products: Non-tangible goods delivered electronically via the Platform.
3. General Terms (Applicable to All Users)
- Users must be at least 18 years old or have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
- Users agree to use the Platform in full compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations, including EU law.
- We may update or revise these Terms at any time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
- Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activities under their account.
4. Vendor Obligations
Vendors agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date descriptions of their Products.
- Ensure that they have all necessary rights to sell the listed Products.
- Comply with consumer protection laws, including EU Digital Content Directive (Directive (EU) 2019/770).
- Honor refund and cancellation rights where applicable.
- Refrain from uploading or selling illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
5. Customer Rights and Responsibilities
- Customers may purchase Products for personal, non-commercial use only, unless explicitly licensed otherwise.
- Under EU consumer law, Customers purchasing as consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal, which does not apply once the digital content download or streaming begins with the customer’s express consent and acknowledgment that they lose the withdrawal right.
- Customers must not share, resell, or redistribute Products in violation of intellectual property laws.
6. Intellectual Property
- All content on the Platform—including text, images, design, logos, and software—is the intellectual property of CareerLux.pro or its licensors.
- Vendors retain rights to their original content but grant CareerLux.pro a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and promote their Products for purposes of operating the Platform.
- Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification of any content is strictly prohibited.
7. Platform Role and Limitation of Liability
- CareerLux.pro acts as an intermediary platform and is not a party to the sales contract between Vendors and Customers.
- We do not warrant the accuracy, quality, or legality of Products offered by Vendors.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareerLux.pro shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Losses arising from disputes between Users.
- Interruptions in Platform availability or technical issues.
- Nothing in these Terms shall limit liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Payments and Fees
- All transactions are processed via third-party payment providers. By using the Platform, you agree to their terms and conditions.
- Vendors may be charged a commission or service fee as agreed in a separate vendor agreement.
- Prices are displayed in EUR by default, but you can choose any other offered currency on the website.
9. Data Protection and Privacy
- Our processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Users have rights under GDPR, including access, correction, and deletion of their personal data.
- Vendors agree to comply with GDPR where they act as independent data controllers.
10. Account Termination
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account without notice in cases of:
- Violation of these Terms.
- Suspicion of fraudulent activity.
- Infringement of intellectual property.
- Users may delete their account at any time by contacting support. Some data may be retained for legal or operational purposes.
11. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
- If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom
